Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the instanbul Application ("the Application"), the operator ("you") agrees to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

2. Description of the service

The Application is a locally-installed tool that connects to Instagram Business and Facebook Page accounts through Meta's official Graph API, and to TikTok accounts through TikTok's official Login Kit and Content Posting API, to schedule and publish photos, videos, carousels, and short-form videos on the operator's behalf. It is offered as a personal-use utility, not as a hosted service.

3. Eligibility

To use the Application, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Be the owner of, or have explicit authorization to manage, every Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok account you connect.
• Have an active Meta Developer account and (for TikTok features) an active TikTok for Developers account, both in good standing.
• Comply with the Meta Platform Terms, the Meta Developer Policies, and the TikTok API Terms of Service and TikTok Developer Policies at all times.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Application to:

• Publish content that violates Meta's Community Standards, Instagram's Community Guidelines, or TikTok's Community Guidelines.
• Post copyrighted material you do not have the right to distribute.
• Engage in spam, harassment, impersonation, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
• Exceed any platform's published API rate limits, or attempt to circumvent them.
• Connect or operate accounts you do not own or are not authorized to manage.
• Reverse-engineer, sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Application without permission.
• Use the Application in any manner that violates applicable law.

5. Account credentials & tokens

You are responsible for safeguarding the access tokens stored by the Application on your machine. Treat the contents of the accounts/ directory as sensitive credentials. If you suspect a token has been compromised, revoke access immediately at Facebook Business Integrations.

6. Platform & third-party services

The Application relies entirely on services operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., TikTok Pte. Ltd. (and its affiliates), and (optionally) Cloudflare, Inc. for tunneling. Their availability, behavior, and policies are outside the Operator's control. These platforms may at any time change their APIs, modify rate limits, restrict permissions, or revoke app access. Use of those services is governed by each provider's own terms — including the Meta Platform Terms, the TikTok API Terms of Service, and Cloudflare's terms.

7. No warranty

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. There is no guarantee that publishing operations will succeed, that scheduled posts will be delivered on time, or that account access will remain uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator and the Application's developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost content, lost followers, account suspensions imposed by Meta, or any data loss — arising out of or related to the use of the Application.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of the Application from any claim, demand, loss, or expense arising out of (a) your use of the Application, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights, or any Meta platform policy.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Application and delete your local data at any time. Continued violation of these Terms or of Meta's platform policies may result in revocation of API access by Meta, which is outside the Operator's control.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the competent courts of Türkiye.

12. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at https://instanbul.app/terms. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
